As soon as you have decided to book Phil ‘N’ The Blanks for your big day, we will secure your date with a deposit. We recommend that you supply this to us ASAP to secure the date. A receipt will be issued to you and this will include the name and date of your venue and the outstanding balance to be paid on the night.

Yes; we own our own transport and we play countrywide.

We will arrive at your chosen venue at 7.30pm sharp and make ourselves known to you. Some venues will have the stage pre-assembled; so in this situation we can start setting up immediately. Given a scenario where staff must move tables/chairs to assemble the stage; we will begin our set-up as soon as the stage is ready. We start by setting up the PA first and playing easy listening background music. This relaxes the guests and sets the ambiance for the evening. Set-up normally takes about 50mins. This includes a full sound-check to ensure all instruments are balanced and set to a comfortable level for the guests.

Yes and we offer our clients the option of the band to perform it live or to play the original song through our PA system. We will contact you 6 weeks in advance of your wedding day to finalise this.

We appreciate that you are catering for a large number of guests, so our objective is to cover a wide variety of musical tastes. With this in mind, our set-list is tailored to include well known popular songs from the 60’s right up to today’s modern chart music (including waltzes!). We guarantee a full dance floor from start to finish!

We are very competent musicians and always play everything live. There is a distinct advantage in using live instruments when compared to backing tracks. The sound has more body, it feels more natural and we have better flexibility with our performance on the night. It is also an opportunity for us musicians to reveal all the hard work we have put in over the years!

Yes and our backline, PA system and lighting rig are one of the best on the market at the moment.

We offer two options:
  • Option 1: A 2.5 hour band set.
  • Option 2: A 2.5 hour band set followed by a 2 hour DJ set.
We are flexible with whichever option you choose. We do however recommend Option 2 for 3 simple reasons:
  1. Quick and easy booking process and the DJ is already present at the venue with the band
  2. Sound quality remains unchanged i.e. the DJ uses our PA system
  3. Seamless transition from band to DJ encouraging your guests to remain on the dance floor!

Our rates are very competitive and we pride ourselves on our professionalism and the superior service we offer to all our clients. We also offer discounts on mid-week and off-peak season. Mid-week includes Monday to Thursday. Off-peak includes from January to March and October/November.
